About Me
I am a writer, photographer and Expressive Arts Facilitator. My favorite place to live and work is on the edge, in those places where seemingly separate entities join, blend, bump into each other and sometimes collide, because that is the absolutely best place to create something new. For many years my passion has lived at the intersection of art and healing. That has expanded to the intersection of Expressive Art and nature, using Expressive Art to reconnect with the natural world. I’ve worked with both children and adults in varied situations including with immigrant and refugee populations, inner-city youth, in rural Mexico and with children who have experienced abuse and other forms of trauma. I’ve presented at conferences on The Healing Power of Art, and initiated and led an artist-therapist cross-training program called Fusions. I’ve also trained teachers, counselors, therapists and others in ways to integrate the arts into their work. E-mail me (dianne@diannemonroe.com) to learn more about my writing, photography, Expressive Arts workshops and consulting.

Hi Dianne, my name is Matthew Parry. Your photograph intitled "Tide Bird" has been an inspiration to me. I have been challenged by Pamella A Lampaa to interpret and express through poetical artform one of your pictures or paintings. "Tide Bird was my choice for enlightened expression. I did enjoy absorbing some others as well. The poem that I have composed is called 'A Note From The Elemental' and it is posted at Allpoetry.com under Matthew-Parry, if you want to check it out. Thank you for the inspiration Dianne.
Matthew
